As the seat of Utah County, the city of Provo is the third-largest city in Utah, located 43 miles south of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front. An estimated population nearing 120,000 people live in Provo, spread across a land area of almost 42 square miles.
Provo is home to Brigham Young University, as well as the largest Missionary Training Center for the Mormon Church. The city has ranked among the “Best Small And Medium-Size Cities For Jobs.” Every July, Provo hosts America’s Freedom Festival, including the popular Stadium of Fire. Points of interest include the Covey Center for the Arts, Provo City Center Temple and Bridal Veil Falls, among many others. The Peaks Ice Arena was a venue for the winter olympics in 2002.
